Monte los Loros
Our Story
The seed of this project was planted a long time ago when we realized, after listening to the ups and downs of countless clients over the decades, what the best combination of rural living and modern comforts was.
Then the seed sprouted about 3 years ago when we found this piece of heaven on earth.

Since then, we have prepared roads, ensured water availability, carefully planned the lots to respect everyone's privacy, planted over a thousand fruit trees on the mother farm and hundreds of ornamental plants on top of the ridgeline to name a few steps we have already taken.

Over 30 hectares had already been under protection for a long time. Half of that protected part is primary Jungle. The cherry on top, a 100m Waterfall...
​
The upper ridgeline, where we find the lots, has wonderful topography and offers beautiful pacific ocean and mountain views. This part of the farm has tertiary forest and was a cow pasture about a decade ago.
​
This part of the Nicoya peninsula is still very authentic and offers one of the lowest population densities in Costa Rica. Therefore, wildlife is more abundant, and light pollution stays at a minimum.

The highest waterfall in central America is just 5 km away as the crow flies.
The coast about 8 km. Samara is located 45 min from the farm. Hojancha, the district's capitol town, is about 25 min by car. (along different routes)
What were some of the ups and downs and what is the best combination you might ask?
1 - The majority prefers a lifestyle with a bit more freedom and space, a farm will always be the ultimate manifestation of this. But when we dig deeper, we will realize that sometimes farm life can get a bit lonely, since most properties with views, water and mountain climate are further off the beaten path.
